Kids can cook

My kids love all sorts of baking :) so I've decided that every week they can do something themselves
We've started off easy and just using packet mixes but still teaching them measuring skills and reading ingredients...... I stood back and watched and took photos, it was great fun and they didn't make much of a mess. I loved watching them and they just loved learning

Zac with his choice

Pouring the mixture in the bowl, yep my kids own their own tupperware :)

Measuring the water

Mixing it up

Taste test, yummmmmmmm

Concentration, they loved this part

Finished product and ready for the oven

Next it was onto the cake, Zac doing the greasing

Adding the milk

Cracking eggs, Char's job, and no shell either

Butter measuring, and taste testing AGAIN

Pouring in the batter :)

Dea doing his part

Yep they all know how to clean up afterwards

Zac with his final product,

Verdict, YUMMO

hmmmm OVER IT

stupid sickness, July has been horrible for us. grrrrr

I've got NOTHING new to show you all, been too out of it to even think about scrapping. That's bad isn't it?????

So apart from the horrid flu we all got, I ended up with a fever, aching body, bad headache and vomiting. feel sooooo lifeless and fatigued, even though I've been sleeping about 10hrs a night.

Starting to feel a little more normal at the moment so I'm hoping I can get everything caught up with over the next few days

Oh and to top it off, Zac hit Deacon in the head with one of the swings and busted his head open. Dash into the Ambulance yesterday to be told that yep it's split goooooooooooooooooood and needed to be glued up AGAIN. Tell you that boy is our problem child. Always in the wars.

anyway that's my pity party, lol

Yesterday and last night

A little bit of Dad doing this

lead to the kids finding these

and having a go themselves

They had a ball trying to cut up the branches, and helping carry them to the truck. I'm glad my kids love being outside.
Great too look out now too and see this tree looking a bit more tidy and not dropping leaves all over the shed. Plus now I don't have to worry about it hitting me across the face everytime I walk out to the car..... LOL

Then last night as dad was out the back checking on his cows, he saw a few feral pigs. Gus ended up chasing one and catching it. Pretty big feat considering Gus isn't a very big dog. So the kids got to see one of these destroying beasts up close. OMG it was wild for a little one.. trying to take snaps at the dogs and trying to bite dad too.

So that was our excitement for the day

Just remember I have my little giveaway going, just check here will have to get a pic of what you may grab if you are lucky... all comments from the time I made that post to the end of the month count

mmmmm Creation Time

I have been having sooooo much fun using the June Boy kit from Bons, I think there maybe a couple left so if you like what I've done you should head over and grab yourself one :) Even better they have worked in great with this weeks The Color Room Challenge too, double bonus :)

Can't Resist - love this little pic of Char and Deacons Feet.... so grotty, but shows just how much time and FUN they have outside. Oh and Chars cute big thongs :) Also this is Palette #10 at The Color Room and my take on the Creative Scrappers Sketch

Cute and Cheeky - Used the back of the Basic Grey sticker sheet for this. YAY no waste here. Little bit of Kittyrobot (gotta love that house) and some new Scrapware. Honestly how cute is that photo of Zac, he has the most fantastic eyes

Growing Like a Weed - :( my baby boy is growing up WAY to quick. Right now he is a shocker.... hasn't been sleeping very well. Max of 4hrs at a time, up 2 times a night. Mummy is exhausted. Added a little more Scrapware on here too, the clouds which I covered in felt and the birdy which I've painted, inked and added a touch of glitter to on the beak.... LOVE this... and can I forget that AWESOME fabric Kittyrobot button... I'm soooo in love with those fabric buttons right now

Lovin U - another using that cute pic of me and my Mr Dea. This was my take on The Color Room Challenge from a few weeks ago, sketch and all :) Love the simplicity

You Love Him - Welllllll, this was suppose to be a 12x12 but I ended up hating how I did the title in the top corner, so I ripped it off and was going to have a big feature corner but hated that too. All I can say is Yay for condensing everything into the bottom corner, I was able to cut this down to be a 8.5x11 and still keep it looking good. This is also my take on the June Sketch over at Bons, you should go and check it out. Charm has come up with a very awesome Sketch. Little bit more of the newest Scrapware chipboard too. Right now I have a thing for glittering everything :) yay gotta love some bling... Did you see how I cut that woodgrain button in half to create a bit of a scallop and then tied it together for a funky feature....

Well that is my Bons Scraps Love for the moment, I still have enough of the kit left over for atleast 2 more LO's really how cost effective is that. I do have upcloses for the other layouts but right now I cannot find them..... oops

Hope everyone has a fantastic Tuesday

woohoo

xx
