Hi there, so excited to be apart of this :)
Come and join me for the Helmar Holidays Blog Hop
You should have just come from Michelle Wallace's blog, or if you have just jumped on my blog from elsewhere why not go back to the Helmar Blog and join in all the fun.
I'm going to show you a few different projects today which I've created using some of the fantastic Helmar products
For all my below projects I've used the following products
First up lets start with a set of cards
(now don't scream, cause I'm the worlds worst cardmaker)
I've used my Helmar Adhesive Runner to add here all the paper on these (and also the green crochet trim), love how quick and easy it is, plus its great for adhering ribbons and trims in place. SUPER tacky. A few Helmar Zap Dots under the Kraft Card to pop that up a little and my very well use Helmar 450 Quick Dry, for some of the chipboard, while the whole idea of adhesive chipboard is good, I like mine not to move so this is great for that. My Santa and the cut out circles I've popped up using Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots, this product is fantastic if you want a little dimension but not as much as a Zap Dot will create, perfect if you are posting your cards away this holiday season.
Few closer photos of each card, I've used last years Basic Grey christmas range, Eskimo Kisses :)
Materials for all cards: Card: Bazzill; Paper: Basic Grey; Other: Chipboard: Basic Grey, Brads: American Crafts, Trim: Websters Pages; Helmar: 450 Quick Dry, Liquid Scrap Dots, Adhesive Runner, Zap Dots
Next up lets look at this little hanging treat bag, which also works perfectly for small gifts. You could get really creative and make enough to make an advent calendar to hang all over your tree
I loved this older paper by Nikki Sivils, think it works great for Christmas, the yellow just adds a zing to the red and green.
I've used my Helmar Adhesive Runner to adhere the sides in place and also to adhere the card strip around the top of the box. VERY quick project to do if you are stuck for wrapping options. My Helmar 450 Quick Dry came in handy for attaching my buttons in place.
Materials: Card: Bazzill, Paper: Nikki Sivils, Pink Paislee; Other Buttons, ribbon; Helmar: 450 Quick Dry, Adhesive Runner
Quick instructions
Copy the template onto Card, cut along solid lines and score along the dashed lines.
Using glue or tape attach the side flap and adhere the bottom flaps together (make sure you cut these large enough, learnt from experience there, lol)
Embellish as you like, and string a ribbon around the top
Now finally :) I'm going to show you my Christmas Layout
Just love using a combination of my Helmar adhesives and art mediums on this layout.
I've been playing around with the Helmar Crackle Medium of late and I actually had another project in mind but with the wet weather and one DARLING (roll eyes) husband who decided to place my laptop on top of my drying project, lets just say it turned into a no go. Anyway onto my layout
I wanted to show that the Helmar Crackle Medium works really well on paper, there's already that pattern there so you don't need to paint, plus it drys flat too so no fear of curling if that's not your thing, personally I curled mine up a little for some more dimension. A little glitter around the edges gave it a pretty sparkle.
Helmar 450 Quick Dry was perfect for my flower trim as its a mesh back it takes a bit to get anything to adhere to it, also once again on my chipboard. Liquid Scrap Dots to attach my Elle's Studio 'ho ho ho' tag (Belinda I think you RAK'd me this about 2 years ago), Helmar Adhesive Runner again for all the paper and my photos, have I said yet how much I LOVE this product <3 <3 <3, just makes scrapping so much quicker. Finally my Helmar Zap Dots to pop up my 'Christmas' title. This Crate Paper Snow Days collection was perfect for these photos, have such crazy kids and the bright colours and playful nature is perfect. Awesome range came from Annas ;)
Few Upcloses for you
Materials: Card: Bazzill; Paper: Crate Paper; Other: Chipboard: Crate Paper, Tag: Elles Studio, Tab: Basic Grey; Punch: Fiskars; Tape: Pink Paislee; Trim: Websters Pages; Pen, Stickers: Crate Paper, American Crafts, Carolee Creations; Helmar: 450 Quick Dry, Adhesive Runner, Crackle Medium, Zap Dots, Liquid Scrap Dots
Sneaking in here is an Angel created by Charlotte,
even at the age of 5 she knows the importance of GOOD glues. She found this face I'd drawn and decided that she wanted to make an angel for the Christmas Tree. While she was finding bits and pieces to use and cutting out she came across the problem of glue not sticking (was using a cheap glue stick). Well after yelling at it to stick (LOL) she came up to me and asked if she could use my 'good' glue (Helmar 450 Quick Dry) she dobbed a little bit here and a little bit there and soon enough she was finished and I had a very happy little chicky. So now everytime Charlotte is creating she asks to use my glue :D
So there you have it my share of Christmas projects, I hope you enjoyed your visit, please become a follower if you would like to see other projects
Now remember to leave a comment on every blog you jump to for a chance to win, also go and check out the Helmar Facebook page for plenty of giveaways through the day
