Get Picky and my 700th post

What a way to celebrate my 700th post than with the next GET PICKY challenge. Fantastic inspiration this month :) You need to go check it out and see the totally fantastic unique takes on this from the DT

Always - I didn't get any further than the title of the song for my inspiration, as soon as I saw what it was I knew straight away I had to do this about my cousin Darren, he was killed in an accident over 7 years ago at age 13. It was the worst call that I have recieved while at work. This photo is of him at age 6 while we were all on holidays down at my grandparents. He was a crazy talented artist, FUNNY, insanely clever and he would have grown into a top bloke. This Febuary he would have turned 21.

His death, turned our whole family upside down and inside out. An event that you would think would bring us closer together drew us all apart. So many members don't speak. It's totally sad........

This first started out as a very simple LO, was just going for a painted background and a few bits of paper, well it ended up more detailed, arty and fun than I imagined, I do like the ones that get away on you. A fantastic mish mash of product, some Sass, Prima, Websters, My Little Bit Of Whimsy all thrown together. Don't you love it????

So go take part and play along :)

Thanks for stopping by

xx

sooo sad to hear of your loss Nic.. but i know only too well how death can tear families apart both my niece and nephew were killed in their teens and my precious son was killed when he was 22 ... grief affects each person differently and our family has been estranged for years but we are all gradually healing and coming together again...
you did a beautiful job of the LO, he would be proud..
take care and a big hug from me x
