Major problem...................
Need some help.......................
Dea's not sleeping, sort of ok at night, lol, sort of.
Has maybe an hour during the day, and that's painful to get him to have.
Wakes an hour after I put him to bed at night, then about 4 hours after that and then usually 2 hours after that. I'm pretty much up to him 3 times a night. This is worse than when he was newborn.
Doesn't want to eat breakfast, infact he flat out refuses to open his mouth. So he's really only having 2 solid meals a day now. Drinks ALOT of water. So we know he's not thristy, just cranky the whole time he's awake, which is ALL the time now.
It's actually doing my head in. I have no idea what to do, to either comfort him, or get him to sleep. What makes it worse is that he rolls so much now, and he won't sleep on his back, and he won't roll back onto his belly. So then he screams the house down. Which he is doing right now.
So if anyone has any ideas PLEASE leave me a comment. I really am at my wits end.
Thanks
Nicxx
edited to add that I had to remove a LO

gorgeous layouts Nic, Love the heart 1...
Hi Nicole, wish I could help, but we are having the same issues, my daughter is only eating yogurt and fruit, nothing else and wakes minimum 3 times a night, I am told it gets better, but I will keep an eye out to see if anyone else has any great ideas. Fiona
What gorgeous layouts. Such sweet kids too. I hope the sleep issues resolve soon for you.
Hi Nic, sorry to hear about Dea's sleep issues! Have you talked to anyone about it? Like a Child and Youth Health Nurse(we have these in S.A), or someone similar. In S.A. we have a helpline we can call for advice or things we may not have thought of!
Does he take a dummy? Does he need to be wrapped? I would be defiantely getting some help, you don't have to do this alone!!! The South Australian Child and Youth Health Website has HEAPS of practical advice. You would know all the tricks anyway, but it might be worth a try! Hope you are ok....... Take a big deep breath.

Hiya Nicole... just want to say I love your blog...About Dea, I am not sure how old he is but he sounds youngish...he might be teething molars which to some kids hurt like blue blazes. My daughter felt every tooth and in the end I had to give her teething medicine. My youngest had growing pains and had aching legs which I always had to rub but he couldn't get comfortable and even whined in his sleep. He is 14 now and sometimes still suffers it though he was worse younger. I took him to the docs and he told me to give him painstop only when he showed symptoms of it.hth
But find out what it is first b4 taking others advice...or mine..
gorgeous LO sweet...especially love the cheeky monkey one! Sorry to hear that Dea's not sleeping too well...teeth would be my first guess (all 3 of mine had different reactions to getting teeth so it was always difficult to pinpoint that was the problem IYKWIM)....like Ali said might be worth a visit to child health. Gotta love how random little babies can be with their sleeping and eating habits! xx
Hey Nic, you poor thing. I have a remedy that worked a treat for my daughter, in fact I still give it to her now when she is feral. She even gets to the stage when she knows she is bad she will come and ask for for some "naughty girl" medicine - LOL. Not sure how old Dea is now, but the bottle says - please consult your healthcare practitioner before giving this product to infants under 6 months of age. It is a natural medicine you can buy at most chemists - Brauer Calm. You give every half hour for 4 doses then 4 hourly. Definately worth giving a try - I have even bought the adult version for me - LOL. I must say it does work. If you can't find it, let me know and I'll see what I can do. Good luck honey.
Hey hon... I know how you feel, I just start thinking we are in a routine and then Zayne goes and messes it all up again.. I had a whole week last week of him waking up when I went to bed and staying awake till well after 2am. Sooo painful. He also didn't sleep during the day from about 2 weeks till around 3 months AT ALL!!! I know its hard but you just gotta keep going! I agree with the others though that is probably teeth. Hope he settles for you soon.

Hey Nic, gorgeous pages thanks for sharing.
With your son, mine woke every hour on the hour for the first 18 months of his life for 2 reasons.
1. He had glue ear, so the pressure in his ears was horrible, it also affected his eating.
2. He also had colic, so we raised one end of his mattress, and it helped him to settle a bit better.
Hope that helps.
Oh, I am loving that My Girl layout... gorgeous stuff!!
You sound like you're in a Mummy pickle... not sure how I can help but wish I could :-) Kody slept through from a very early age and I thought I had it in the bag and then all of a sudden it was waking every night for a feed and still does at 15 months!! THEY are the boss it seems... He has been my fussiest eater too, they'll eat when they are hungry. You'll get there hun!!!
I can invite you in for a coffee and something yummy next time you're in town or a play and cheesecake at McCafe! :-)
xx
Layouts are gorgeous Nic. Sorry to hear about little Deacon not sleeping, I know what it is like to be sleep deprived, was like that for 3 years so no help here really. Looks like you are getting some good advice here though so hopefully this will help you. Good luck and let us know how you go!!
Hugs xx
Gorgeous layouts Nic, love the heart shape!
My Will was a monster when he was getting teeth. He behaved just like Deacon. A friend put me on to Heatheries teething tablets. They're natural and just dissolve in the mouth. They didn't solve it, but they certainly made him less irratable. Good luck!
Both my girls suffered from reflux. My first wouldnt sleep much at all either and would just scream the rest of the time. she would only fall asleep on my sitting up. After speaking with health nurses and the lot about sleep techniques I gave up and went to the doctor who prescribed Zantac for reflux. She never suffered from the vomiting just cries of pain and waking easily. The was a miracle drug and as time went by the dosage had to be increased. She ended up off it at age 2years. But every now and then she suffers from reflux and she's 8 now. She will take some Zantac when needed. As for my 2nd girl, as soon as I heard that first cry of pain I got the doctor onto Zantac and she was off it within 6months. Best to go to the doc and see what he says.
