Art Class ;) (AGAIN)

Art Class again over at Nook U.... I think this may be the last class??? lol been soooo many, but I've enjoyed this challenge so much, Different styles, different techniques, lots of fun and maybe rediscovering what sort of scrapping I like most ;)

Cheek - Such a cheeky monkey, everything is mischief when Dea in involved. You can see it in his eyes that he's here to be up to no good. Gotta love a boy with some attitude but geez he's not yet 2 and he's into everything more than the other two. Rides a motobike by himself and even had a go of the billy cart the other week. Seriously where has this wild, crazy boy come from. Lots of Echo Park fun here, mixture of Sweet Summertime and Walk in the Park. Plus a Prima flower and my Martha Stewart Butterfly punch (only for the orange flower, the others are cut from the PP) :)

Like, so totally popular ;)

lol, not talking about me there that's for sure. It's the name of one of the Nook U classes

We had to lift a lo from one of the DT Members, and I adore Mahlins work and decided to lift this layout of hers

and this is my take on it, no where as fabulous as the original :D

The Bike - Dea and his bike, hmmmm, he takes it everywhere with him, even when we broght it he was riding it in the trolley. Used some Jillibean Soup, October Afternoon, with touches of Scrapware, Heidi Swapp, 7Gypsies and Jo Sonyas. I do like how this has turned out.

Think this leaves me with just one more LO to complete, wow this has been a full on month

Botany

Never did anything like this at school. So this class at Nook U really pushed me.
LOVE flowers, but I'm not a flowery flowery sort of girl. Can't do huge clusters :( Don't like this LO one little bit. It's just YUCK

First Ponies - Missy Char at approx 14 months. It took her forever to grow hair. She use to be so cute having little pony tails and ALWAYS needed to have ribbons in her hair, ahhhhh so long ago now. All Prima except for the little tag sticker which is October Afternoon and the pearl brads which are American Crafts

Art Class ;)

Art was one of my Favourite Subjects (behind Hospitality) so it was only natural that I would LOVE this class at Nook U. Miss Crystal set the assignment of doodling, something that nearly every lo of mine has :) so this was quiet easy for me to do.

My Grub Boy - Yep he is definitely a GRUB. Never ever clean, except for getting out of the bath and going to bed. If there is mud, dirt, grease, food, Dea's got it all over himself. I've used a Prima stamp on the background, framed off the middle section so not all of the stamp is included. Pretty much the remainder is Jillibean Soup, papers, stickers, letters, sprouts. With just a little bit of Pink Paislee tape (I love my tapes)

Home Decor

Well I'm not an OTP girl either so this class was a little ekkkk for me too. Suppose that's what I'm loving about all these classes at Nook U. So far I've only missed out on two of the classes, and I have another 3 left to do (that I know of, lol) Had to create a Photo frame well you all know me, taking it all a step further, I came up with this. Bit past a photo frame I think but part of the challenge was to use something from around the house. Well I cut up a cereal box for this, HOPEFULLY it'll last.....

Wall Hanger - Various circles, cut freehand, covered in paper or paint, coated in GLITTER and I added gesso to the edges. Used the new Bo Bunny Olivia. *Sigh* it's beautiful. Used my border punch on some strips and made a little ruffle (loving my hot glue gun for sticking this together - by the way, anyone seen where I put the replacement glue sticks???)

Thanks for checking me out

Totally NOT a card maker

This is for the PE Class, I'm thinking the exercise is the laughter ;) and the giving of happy mail too sometimes. Needed to create a card that would appeal to the receiver. Well, I found a fantastic quote but someone beat me too it, hehehe.

Handbags - warning look away if you don't like a bit of rudey...... LOVE this quote from Sex and the City by Carrie. Some gorgous October Afternoon and little bits and pieces. ALOT of dimension. Think this card pops out about half an inch. Just click on the pic to bring it up bigger ;)

Bit of English Lit....

English was never my strongest subject, I always seemed to do fairly well though ;)
This time around at Nook U I didn't mind it so much. Probably only get a credit though for this effort.

Journaling is a big part of my scrapping even if it's only a sentence or two. I need to have some sort of words on my layouts thesedays.

If Someone Told Me - Just about how I had planned my life and how my life has changed along the way. I've never been too career minded but I always wanted a secure job before I had my kids. Life didn't pan out that way for me but hey it's something I can achieve after they grow up a little more. Using some of the new Prima lines, mixed with and older butterfly spray. Plus a little Tattered Angels crepe paper and glimmermist :)

Back in the Day

I really didn't like Geography. I took it for a semester and then changed to Science. This time around though I'm loving this Geography. Yes I'm talking about Nook U :D It was all about the non-people LO's and I took this photo not that long ago and I've been meaning to scrap it ever since.

There's No Place Like Home - this is the entrance to our property, not pretty, not flash but I always feel relief when I see it, really there is no place like the place you call home. This has been my home for 23 of my 27yrs. I moved out when I was 18 and moved back just before I turned 23. I think that the Restoration line from Crate Paper suits this photo to a 't'. Added the viney thing from Prima

Mixing some Home Ec with some Shop

More class from Nook U, think I just managed to get these in on time :) little bit of Home Ec here. Material, Pretty trims and sewing, things I all love. This was sooooo quick to do, and I actually quiet like the result. Bit of  play on words too since I used so much sewing on this ;)

Sew Clever - Adam has been sitting up for quite some time now, but I've never got a really good photo of him. I love this pic, just natural and in our yard.

This one is for the Shop Class, needed to use the usual tools creatively ;) I don't own many tools apart from my cuttlebug, so I embossed a few pieces of card and randomly stitched them together, other little bit of creative tool use was my flower, just the Apron lace punch on a length of paper which I then folded....

Crazy Boy - Man this boy has some weird traits, he's so shy but he can also let loose when he wants too, I've got some CRAZY photos of him doing weird poses or faces like this. Used some Bella Blvd Papers on this, soooo much fun and they suit the Crazy Zacman...

Side note, I burnt my fingers three times on the hot glue gun :( love it but you'd think by now I'd realise that it really does burn especially when you touch the metal tip. lol

Studying is FUN ;)

Who would have thought that going back to school would have been this fun :)

I've missed a couple of classes :( but I'm planning not not missing anymore, going to have to get going to finish two layouts tonight so I can upload tomorrow morning, well that's the plan......

This class was all about shabby, think you all know I love a bit of shabby, distressing, old laces and ribbon, crackle paint, inking, sewing, beautiful vintage looking flowers, a touch of elegance. Yeah I'm loving it.

Waiting - ahhhh by the end of the day I was sooooo sick of waiting. Woke up, had to wait for mum, had to wait in the hairdressers, had to wait for my make up artist, I was dressed, had to wait for my photographer, then I had to wait for the cars. Apparently I was early to the ceremony ;) Loved my wedding, but I'm not the most patient person. Waiting for people just annoys me. lol.

Used the new Prima range Annalee, plus flowers, blingy swirl, mask, that gorgeous spray of glittery goodness, a quick spray with Glimmermist, a touch of Scrapware and topped off with Thickers.

School AGAIN

hehehehehehehe

This class was all about Typography :)

HOW FUN right???

You all should know that I own about a bazillion alpha stickers. LOVE my fonts

Love Love Love This Moment - loving my two little boys, love they way they interact, love the way Deacon just shows affection for Adam, he likes to hug him and show him toys. Used the new Cosmo Cricket Togetherness line for this lo, plus with a few different pieces thrown in ;) Little Pink Paislee and American Crafts.
